I would like to make series of recipes cooking from Shokugeki no Soma. The Pork Roast, Just Kidding or Gotcha Pork is the second recipe that Soma has cooked.
For those who doesn’t know what Shokugeki no Soma is or who He is. Shokugeki no Soma (食戟のソーマ Shokugeki no Sōma) is a manga written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki in collaboration with Yuki Morisaki, a famous chef. Its main character, Sōma Yukihira is a brash, confident, and skilled amateur chef who enters Tōtsuki Culinary Academy to graduate from the culinary school famed for its 1% graduation rate, all while facing numerous other skilled chefs in his class.
The manga was first published by Shueisha on November 26, 2012 in the 52nd issue of Japan’s Shōnen Jump magazine. VIZ Media publishes the localized story of Shokugeki no Soma under the title Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma.
Shokugeki no Soma has been adapted into an anime television series, which aired between April 3 and September 25, 2015 and was followed by a second season, which aired between July 2, 2016 and September 24, 2016.
Soma was challenged by Yaeko Minegasaki, the urban life planner. He needed to serve dish whatever the customers would order. But the Restaurant Yukihira (Soma’s restaurant) was destroyed and all the the meat were sabotaged in his kitchen by Yaeko. Soma cooked Roast Pork, Just Kidding made from steamed potatoes and wrapped with bacon that turned out tasty dish that no body can’t resist even Yaeko Minegasaki.
My miniature Pork Roast, just kidding didn’t turned out as my expectation, the bacon shrank and wasn’t able to cover the whole potato, the sauce didn’t turn red like in Anime. Maybe I will do this again in the near future.
Hi everyone! Last episode I made Beef and Broccoli with oyster sauce, this time I’ve made Chicken & Broccoli Pasta. Every body wants to be healthy but it’s hard to sustain it because some of the healthy foods are tasteless and some of it are bitter. I know this recipe is not totally healthy because of the butter and cheese ingredients but as long it has broccoli on it, for me it’s still healthy.
Broccoli is of the most important vegetable because of it’s nutritional benefits. Broccoli is a great source of vitamins K and C, a good source of folate (folic acid) and also provides potassium, fiber. Vitamin C – builds collagen, which forms body tissue and bone, and helps cuts and wounds heal. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and protects the body from damaging free radicals.
Most of the kids don’t like vegetables including me when I was a kid, for me it’s taste like grass, I didn’t understand why adult love it. However when I grow up it became my favorite, I used to make this as my snack (or if you are Filipino, lagi ko ito pinapapak ng patago).
Bitter melon is actually a medicinal fruit. Yes, a fruit not a vegetable. You can get a lot of health benefits from eating bitter melon like it helps reducing Diabetes, helps to lose weight, it cleanse your colon and many more. Ampalaya has strong bitter taste, since this edible medicine, but if you would sauté it you might like it and become your all time fave medicine I mean veggies.
Here’s the recipe, you can also make a normal size of it.
To lessen the bitterness of Ampalya; you to cut it thinly, soak it with salt and hot water leave it for 5- 10 minutes, squeeze tightly until all liquid drips, then rinse it.
It’s my first time to cook Chicken Masala, believe me, I’ve never done this in normal servings of food, I just tried to cook this (in my miniature kitchen) since I have lot’s of Indian friends who’s following my Youtube channel and I want to thank you guys for supporting and loving my channel. When I do research, there’s a lot of way or different ways of cooking Chicken Masala and honestly I don’t know which one should I follow but there’s a common denominator, they cook the masala in yogurt and different spices. So, please don’t judge me, if you have different way of cooking chicken masala, kindly let me know and I will try to follow.
If you’re going to ask how was the taste. When we tasted it, I would definitely recommend this recipe and I surely will make a normal version of it. I salute the Indian cuisine, you have a superb spices that you should be proud of.
Here’s the recipe;
First I marinated the chicken in; cayenne, cinnamon, white pepper, cumin, tomato sauce by the way I wasn’t able to find tomato puree and I think the tomato sauce is good alternative. Masala paste, yogurt, I also substituted the Lemon to Calamansi.
